Nice idea, unfortunately I volunteered to work on my old part time job on Wednesday and can't leave london until after 13.30. Is there a chance you'll still be around after that? It's over a 2 hour drive for me...

i am the happy owner of the other riva rudy super of the khalidia. i bought it in France from IMS owner before the sold the shipyard. i have some pics as i have it since 2008.
by the way does anyone has info on the hull number? i am trying to get it in shape)))

I recall this boat stacked with steel drums and musical instruments on the engine cover shuttling back and forth from Foxy's Tamarind Bar in Jost Van Dyke in 1979 or 1980 with Doug and Margie at the wheel from Khalidia. Seems that they "borrowed" Foxy's house band to play for a group onboard for a night.

Fabulous pictures Ziad, after my time sadly but Foxys bar comes a very close second to The Southport Raw Bar in Lauderdale. Lots of fun, drinks and girls, just the way we liked it!

Hello Everyone,

Came across this thread and hoping there are still some out there with experiences and information about this great yacht.

The reason is that I am writing a short book about the history of this vessel. I was a young deckhand aboard her while she was in the Caribbean and Florida when she was called Kara Kara, and later as a Captain I had Adnan Khashoggi onboard my boat for a charter in the Med. We followed Khalidia and Nabila around, which were carrying other family members and guests.

Anyone who would like to contribute stories or photos is welcome to contact me. The story will be published "as public domain" on the Internet Archive. Contact me on this forum.
