If you want to cut shape foam, get out the old electric meat knife. Works like a charm. Many shops use them.
There is always Git Rot or similar product if the damage isn't to much.
I am surprised too. Mahogany doesn't rot that easily. There is a lot of mahogany in our boats.
I believe the wood to be mahogany. My 56 has the same thing.
Per Sealand/Dometic rules, they are all to have the in-line filter. Not sure if the Post factory followed the guidelines or not. I hope they did.
