Switching mine to LED as we speak..power draw is minimal and the lights are low in price...ebay has them...make sure you get the marine version
...dump can is clean. Tried barnacle buster poured in 2x from the raw water exhaust tube...I will skip the oil cooler under the h/e and the one...
Nah... name of the Post 46 we missed out on when first shopping for boats...lol
Done...thanks bossman!
Wasnt sure as Johnson Towers was involved
Yes sir! That's the water side...was going to do the oil coolers also
Getting ready to pull the heat exchangers and oil coolers to get them all cleaned out and ready to go for the new season. I have 1983 671 TI...
NP....Merry Christmas Ralph!!
TI
20P is correct...had to start somewhere as the blades were all out of whack from a grounding at speed when the mathers ZF throttles failed to pull...
Right now I am 24x20p...cruise at 1950 is 14kts...should be up another 4 or 5 kts
I have 4 bladed wheels now but pitch is way off....on list of things to do..original boat specs were 3 blades at 31 kts... I will be happy with...
You just talked me out of going to 3 blades..thanks for saving me some money!
How did your boat run with them...I have 4 bladed wheels now and contemplating going back to 3 blades for.more speed.and better cruising speed
I have used the VHT paints on my gas engines in my old boat and it held up real well and retIned its gloss
I was going to try high heat paint on the passages and regular paint outside the passages and see what happens
You still have these?
There are some great ideas here...i will look into the Cat white paint...$8 can is a decent price if it lasts
Is that a spray or brush on?
Can you replace the wood underneath and put the skin back on so you have minimal topside sanding and painting?
