I would find another Yanmar dealer. A recall is a recall and they should honor it. Secondly, why are your alternators not charging your batteries?
It can mean the panel mounted right in view on the dash where you steer from if it has fuses or those push button ETA breakers.
Good news, it sucks that you had so much equipment fry because of it. I've replaced more 6-12 batteries at a shot because of a battery charger...
